1) Every week I will post the schedule for that weeks games. You simply make your picks via the "make picks" link at the left side of the page. All games are straight up and we do not use point spreads.
2) There is a deadline for submitting your picks. Usually it is one hour before kickoff (12 Noon on Sunday) but can vary from week to week based on the schedule. When we have Saturday games, the deadline for ALL games that week will be one hour before the Saturday game's kickoff. When we have Thursday games, usually at the start of the season and again starting around Thanksgiving, the deadline for the Thursday games will be seperate from the weekend games.
3) If you do not make any picks, then you get 0 points for the entire week.
4) All picks must be in by the posted deadlines. If you are one minute late, your picks WILL NOT COUNT.
5) Starting with Week 15 and continuing through Week 17, there will be staggered deadlines. The leader of the pool will have a deadline 1 hour earlier than the rest of the field. The player in second place will have a deadline 30 minutes before the rest of the field. Everyone else will have the standard deadline.
Here is an example: Player A is leading so his deadline will be 11:00 AM on Sunday. Player B is in second place so his deadline is 11:30 AM. Everyone else has the Noon deadline.
6) You are not required to submit your email address when making your picks. If you use an alias, at least let me know who you are.
7) When you select a username for the forums, if it is a name I wouldn't recognize, please let me know who you are when you post.
This system will give those out of reach of the win something to keep playing for. And, as always, every dollar that is entered is paid out as prize money. I get nothing if I don't win it.
5) The entry fee is $50 (less than $3 per week).
6) This is something that is very important so please read it carefully. There is absolutely NO WAY that I can allow anyone to play that doesn't pay first. I want everyone to be able to play and I want all of you to have the chance to send your entry fee in. Please, do not wait till 3 days before the deadline to send in your entry fee. If I don't have it in my hand by the deadline, you will not be allowed to play.

Side Bet
There will also be an optional "side bet" you can join if you wish. Those that send in an extra $5 per entry will be entered into the bet. The first person (of those that play) to go undefeated in a week will win the money. It's not much but it would be a nice little reward for going 13-0, 14-0, 15-0, or 16-0. If no one has a perfect week, the player that had the best winning percentage in a week will win the money. So, 15-1 beats 14-1. In case of a tie, whoever had the best record the previous week would win. This is also something for those that fall far behind can shoot for to win back some of their money.

Knockout Pool
We also have a "knockout pool" or "suicide pool", whatever you want to call it. I'm sure most of you are familiar with these games but for those that are not, here are the rules.
All you have to do is pick ONE winner from the list of games for the week. No point spreads, just straight up. If you win the game, you advance to the next week. If you miss the game you selected, you're out and the knockout pool is over for you.
The only catch to the game is that you can't choose the same team more than once. So, if you pick New England in Week 1, you can't pick them again the rest of the year. So, you'll want to be very careful when you select certain teams because once you've chosen them, you can't pick them again.
The last person alive wins the money.
The entry fee for this game is $10 per entry (you can enter as many times as you want). Just send it in before the start of Week 1.

Sidewinder
The game is all about strategy. Each week you pick at least one team that you are positive will win. If you get that game correct, you get 1 point. If you get it wrong, you lose 2 points. You can pick as many games per week as you want but you MUST pick at least 1 game per week. If you do not pick a game, you will be credited with a loss and the -2 points that goes with it.
As you can see, you have to be very careful of the games you choose as a loss is huge in this game.
The entry fee for this game is also $10

Monday Night Pool
This game uses only the games played on Monday nights. You start the season with 10 points which you can wager with. Each week you pick the winner of the game and then decide how many points you are going to risk. Say you choose Team A and wager 4 points on it. If Team A wins, your new point total is 14 (10 + 4). If Team A loses, you now have 6 points (10 - 4). Your new point total will then carry over to the next week. You must wager at least 1 point per week. At the end of the season, the person with the most points wins the money. If at any time you fall to 0 points, you are eliminated.
The entry fee for this game is $10 as well.
